An original cocktail from our founder: Anders Erickson. While it may sound menacing on the surface, this cocktail will be your cold-brew coffee's new best friend. With herbal sweetness from the rum + benedictine to savory elements from the sherry, you get a full profile of flavors to compliment your Bartender's Coffee.
Prep Work Notes
For this recipe you will need cold brew concentrate. Follow these steps a day or two before you plan on creating this cocktail to ensure freshness. You can scale up or down based on how many cocktails you plan on making.
Cold Brew Concentrate Recipe
Begin with one part coarsely ground Bartender's Blend Coffee
Add eight parts cold water
Seal in an airtight container and place in fridge for twelve hours
Strain off the grounds and you'll have the coffee concentrate!
*Any leftover concentrate makes for a great quick cup of coffee in the morning
Barback's Revenge Cocktail Recipe
First, add the following to a mixing glass:
1 oz. (30 ml) El Dorado 8 Year Rum
1 oz. (30 ml) Bénédictine DOM
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Lustau Los Arcos Amontillado Sherry
1 oz. (30 ml) cold brew concentrate of Bartender's Blend Coffee
Second, add ice and stir to mix and dilute.
Third, strain over a large ice cube in your favorite lowball glass.
Lastly, express lemon oil across the top.
